Charlotte

Once upon a time, in a place far far away... there was a cute little girl... her name was Charlotte... and she had the most beautiful cristal marble...
And it was a purple magical marble...
Everytime she looked at her marble... she'd feel a great happiness overcoming her...
But she would have to be very careful... for everytime she'd look into the marble... she would shrink a little.
And, because of that, she was taking a long time to grow up...
When she was 13 years old... she was only 1.2m tall... and everyone would say: "What a strange girl.... She just doesn't grow..."
Then one day... a great tragedy happened... something so horrible... that was talked about for years to come...
Her parents died, in a strange incident no one was able to explain. They both drowned in a river close to their home... Why they went there... And why they both died, it remains a mistery even today.
And then Charlotte... was alone... without anyone... just her and her magic purple cristal marble.
To escape from her sadness, she started to look more and more into the magical cristal marble... And she begun to shrink more and more... Shorter and shorter... But to her, the happiness that overwhelmed her as she looked was worth it...
After some time little Charlotte was already the size of a lady bug, but she didn't care.
Then one day, the inevitable happened...
"I'll look just one more time" she said... "just one more time"...
And she did, and the marble... moved a little... and crushed her.

And this was the tragic tale... of little Charlotte... and her magic purple cristal marble...

If it's intentional, please ignore my remark, but shouldn't it be crystal? With a "y"?

Although the concept is not new, congrats! Very well done! Shades of goth and darkwave. Kind of sets the mood for H. P. Lovecraft or Edgar Allan Poe. Beautiful.
